If you are in crisis
Integria is not an emergency or out-of-hours crisis service.
If there is immediate risk to life or health
Call 112 or go to the nearest emergency medical service.
This applies too if you are afraid you might harm yourself or someone else, if you are severely confused, or if you cannot stay safe.
Seek emergency help if
- you intend, or have an immediate impulse, to harm yourself;
- you think you might harm another person;
- you cannot look after your own safety;
- you are severely disoriented or confused;
- you have severe physical symptoms and do not know their cause;
- your state has changed sharply and you are not sure what is happening.
If the symptoms are new, unusually strong, or you are not sure the cause is psychological, seek a medical assessment.
For loss of consciousness, severe intoxication, an overdose, or an unclear reaction to a medicine or substance, seek emergency medical help.
If you are in immediate danger from another person, move away from the situation if you can do so safely, and call 112.
While you arrange help
- If you can, stay with someone you trust, or ask them to come to you.
- Move to a place where you are safer.
- If someone is with you and your state is getting worse, ask them to arrange the medical help for you.
If you already work with a professional
If you have a psychiatrist, psychotherapist or other professional with whom you agreed a plan for when things get worse, follow that plan and contact them in the way you agreed in advance.
For a child or a minor
Integria works with adult clients. If a child or a minor is at immediate risk, seek emergency help through 112 and involve a responsible adult where that can be done safely.
When Integria can help
Psychotherapy may be appropriate once the immediate crisis has been managed, or where the situation is hard but does not call for emergency medical care.
A first session is a place to discuss what is happening and whether therapy at Integria is the right next step.
For situations that do not require emergency help.
